Our fazenda (ranch) is a hidden and magical place located at the mouth of National Park Chapada Diamantina in Bahia, Brazil. If you absolutely adore horseback riding and eco-travel we are the ideal place for you! We are also a convenient stop on your way from Salvador to the National Park if you wish to first get off the touristy path and experience the traditional lifestyles of the people from this region of Bahia.
A comfortable 4-hour bus ride from Salvador will bring you to one of the most beautiful fazendas of Brazil. The family has owned this land for almost 100 years thus helping preserve its wild nature. The land is privileged with a lake, pond, reservoir, horses running free, tropical fruit trees, an enchanted creek, hikes up a mountain to enjoy the sunsets, bird watching, extraordinary rock formations, and cool, clear evenings.
This is a real fazenda where you can partake in the daily ranch activities such as, fetching the horses, milking the cows, and caring for the goats. You may also enjoy and explore the surrounding flora and fauna by horseback, mountain bike, and hiking. Or simply relax after a swim at the lake. After your visit to our fazenda we would be delighted to take you in to explore the mountains, rivers, and waterfalls of Chapada Diamantina in style!
We require a minimum stay of 2 days for at least 2 people and double occupancy, although we highly recommend staying a minimum of 5 days to enjoy most of the activities we have to offer at the fazenda. The best part of our per day per person rate is that it includes all meals, non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, 2 activities from our menu of activities per day, horseback riding lessons, pick up from bus stop to fazenda and back, comfortable and clean rooms with sheets and towels, transport to one out of fazenda activity, plus one day horse ride trip to a nearby village. If you choose to visit Chapada Diamantina with us our rates are the same, but hiking and camping are involved as we would not bring the horses on those trails.
