Rancho Macanao is a place for people who want to spend an exciting day enjoying the best horseback riding in Margarita Island, Venezuela. Here you can enjoy with all your family the spectacular landscapes found on Macanao’s Peninsula.

We have horses to suit all riding abilities. All of our horses have gentle character and great disposition to work. Our horses are mainly Venezuelan criollos and mixed horses (known as mestizos), especially quarter horse mixed ones. Most South American countries have their own type of criollo horse. Venezuelan cirollos are energetic and have great stamina, endurance and are perfect for working activities.

Experience riding along beautiful Caribbean shores, amazing cactus forests and through scenic mountainous terrain. Live your fantasy of cantering along lonely, endless beaches and enjoy breathtaking views from our stunning rocky mountains. Visit rustic fishing villages and observe amazing wildlife on its own environment.

For Nature Lover’s, during our ride you would be able to observe a great variety of native animals and plants. Local and migratory bird species can be seen all along our ride same as other interesting animals such as spectacular reptiles as well as mammals such as the cute and fast eastern cottontail rabbits. The Peninsula´s xerophytic vegetation includes trees, shrubs and gorgeous cactus.

Macanao is a region known for its magical essence. People who visit the Peninsula every day understand why the few people who live there are charmed by its unique natural sceneries. Painters, musicians, craftsmen and other artists can be found living a calmed and relaxed life filled with inspiring landscapes.
