Come and spend a unique holiday in Transylvania, Romania! Discover the mythic land of Dracula, explore the Carpathian mountains, probably the last completely unspoilt region in Europe, where most of the wild animals still roar in their natural habitat... Taste the local organic food, understand how the traditions are kept alive... Step back in time and experience the self-sufficient life style of the locals, with landscapes where horses plough the land or draw the carts, cows come back in the evening lead by their shepherd from the pasture lands, wild flowers cover the fields and people live a simple, yet a happy life! |

Come and discover this mythical Transylvainia, immense outdoor museum, still virgin of all tourist invasion. Come and ride across these pastures & forests which reach to the horizon without a fence in sight. Come and taste the charm of these lost hamlets where time has stood still, with their oxen carts and their water mills. Come and appreciate the healthy joys of a life close to nature: produce straight off the farms of mountain shepherds, the tracks of bear close to the foresters hut, a BBQ on the banks of the mountain lake, the herds of still wild horses. |

Experience the romance of riding in Transylvania! British and American ran tourism business in Transylvania, a tranquil region of mountains, forests, meadows, shepherds, bucolic villages and, above all, working horses. Our location is quiet and unspoilt, with the nearest town 60km away, no through road, and most of the limited traffic still horse-drawn. Meadows are scattered with wild flowers. We use our horses to bring hay and other supplies, to plough the land, to travel around the local area. Food is locally grown, organic and flavoursome. To visit is to take a trip back into the past, where you can experience a horse-drawn rural society that has scarcely changed in generations.
Julian is a British engineer, 39 years old, who chose to pursue an alternative career after a decade building metro stations in London. He is now a qualified National Equestrian Tourism Guide (in fact the only non-Romanian to hold this qualification) and Romanian National Tourism Guide.
Kelli is an American wilderness instructor and horse trainer, with 15 years experience in equestrian and wilderness guiding. Her experience also includes rock climbing, caving, dog sledding, and winter survival skills. 1 and 2 week iteneraries availible along with customized trips allowing for siteseeing of the painted monasteries and horse studs. |
