Ruahine Adventure Horsetreks are located just a 30 min drive from NZ's main state highway 1 near Mangaweka in the Rangitikei district, Lower North Island.
Our horsetreks are part of a 240 Ha working farm, where amongst other livestock, we stand 3 stallions and breed the renowned Meersbrooke Clydesdale/TBx sport horses & NZ stationbred ponies. We also have a prize winning fold of Scottish Highland cattle.
Another special feature of our farm is Meersbrooke reserve. This 41Ha private forest reserve, is crisscrossed with riding trails, & richly abundant with native flora & fauna.
We have treks to suit all levels of rider, including children. Relax on an easy 1 - 2 hr ride, or challenge yourelf with our multiday explorer treks which allow you to really immerse in the rural NZ lifestyle.
