Horseriding tour in one of the most exotic regions of Georgia - Tusheti. Tusheti is located on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains at 900-4800 meters above sea level with total area 108 530 ha. The whole area belongs to Georgia’s National Park and Protected Area. It is a small historic, geographic region in eastern Georgia. Tusheti is notable for its amazing nature, untouched flora and fauna, splendid alpine meadows, glaciers, pine forests, small lakes. Charming historic villages (Diklo, Dartlo, Kvavlo etc.) and some unique archaeological and architectural monuments make it more attractive. Traditionally the Tushs are sheepherders. The Tushetians are famous for sheep cheese and wool. One of the most ecologically unspoiled regions in the Caucasus, Tusheti is a popular place for mountain horse riding and trekking. |
