Located on 55 acres of rolling hills high above the Schuylkill River, Ashford Farm is a riding stable complete with two outdoor, all-weather rings and a cross-country course. We are within minutes of Philadelphia, the Main Line and Chestnut Hill. Ashford can accommodate children and adults at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Although the Ashford staff specializes in teaching hunt seat and dressage, our goal is to offer something for every horse enthusiast. |

Trial Rides year round on our farm and at Codorus State Park (Lake Marburg) Reasonable rates, well trained horses, that are also very pretty. Beautiful countryside and lots of wildlife. Min. age 6 yrs. Max. weight 250 lb. We only take out small groups of riders which makes it a more enjoyable ride. 1 to 6 people, sometimes we can work out 8 if needed for bigger families. Helmets required for 18 yr. and under, provided. This is a very nice ride, lots of hills, wooded areas, stream crossings and sometimes we even go in the lake. Our saddles are comfortable and we take special attention in making sure that the horse, rider and saddle are the correct fit for each other. Call 717-235-1647. The rides are 1 to 1/2 hours, leaning towards the 1-1/2. Prices are $40.00 a person Friday - Sunday. $35.00 Mon-Thurs. But, call we do offer specials from time to time. Where your horse is already saddled for you. Advance reservations are recommended, but sometimes that day by chance. |
