Ryton Station tours range from 1 hour to 3 days. Ryton and the surrounding Mountains and High Country have an inspiring feel and special majesty of their own, There are beautiful lakes and tarns to be visited, or to swim in if you please. Overnighters can stay at Harper Village and/or camp at the Monck Hut. Both these locations are very private and set in lovely locations. The Harper Village is a modern accommodation complex, and Monck Hut a historical Musterer's cabin.
Terrace Downs tours range from 1-2 hours, through the scenic Rakaia Gorge and the world-class golf course. Afterwards you can relax with refreshments, meals or even a spa and sauna at the clubhouse. |

The guided 1hr and 2hr rides include open New Zealand dairy farming country, a towering old eucalyptus plantation, historic battle sites and native bush as well as panoramic views of the New Zealand countryside. These are relaxed, leisurely rides suitable for anyone able to mount a horse. Other rides are available with horses suitable for the beginner to the fully experienced rider. All gear is in first class order to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Enquiries regarding overnight and stock droving treks are welcome. Our full day trek follows the cliffs of the Waitara River with awe inspiring views over North Taranaki ( New Zealand ), and a leisurely lunch by the river (good for swimming). With opportunities for a good canter through the open spaces of easy Taranaki country, this trip is for the more confident rider. |
